Natural therapies are becoming increasingly
popular, and are widely used to compliment traditional medicines and treatments.
Most natural therapies are holistic in their approach, in that they treat
the body as a whole and get to the cause of the problems, rather than
simply treating the symptoms of a problem, which is common in western
medicine.

Reflexology
This is the traditional massage of the feet using a finger and thumb
technique. The belief is that certain areas of the feet have reflexes
which correspond to all the organs and parts of the body. Reflexology
not only relieves the patients symptoms by promoting good health,
but it also stimulates the blood circulation, reduces stress levels and
encourages relaxation.
This treatment takes one and a half hours for the first visit and one
hour for subsequent visits.
Hopi Ear Candles
The Hopi tribe of North American Indians, developed a way to cleanse
their ears and sinus using ear candles. The candles are hollow and
when lit at the top end a chimney effect is created drawing the wax and
impurities out of the ear. This is a natural alternative to syringing,
and it is far more pleasant and relaxing. The treatment takes about half
an hour, and should ideally be repeated about every 3-4 months.
Reiki
This form of hands on healing originating in Japan uses the power of
energy transferred through the practitioners body by light touch, or holding
the hands over the body of the patient. The bodies energy can often
become unbalanced in our hectic 21st century lives, and Reiki helps to
rebalance this energy by working within the bodies aura. Reiki heals
emotionally, spiritually and physically and allows one to float away into
a time and place of ones own to relax and unwind.
This treatment takes between one to one and a half hours to complete.
Indian Head Massage
This is a traditional form of massaging the head, neck and shoulders
as used by mothers on their babies in India. The treatment promotes wonderful
relaxation by reducing tension in the neck and shoulders, the back and
even the face. This form of massage has become very popular with busy
people as it only takes half an hour, and therefore can be fitted into
a lunch hour.
Acupuncture
This traditional Chinese form of healing using meridian lines and acupuncture
points is used for numerous problems. From pain relief, to improving general
constitution and giving up smoking, it works to rebalance energy. The
treatment time differs from person to person and can take anywhere between
one to two hours.

Laser Therapy
Laser treatment speeds up the bodies healing process by working locally
at a cellular level. This process is particularly useful for such conditions
as ulcers (diabetic and varicose), verrucae, muscular pain, tendonitis
and sports injuries. The laser treatment is totally Pain FREE, so is great
for treating children, those in great pain, or with a low pain threshold.
